Our practice stems from a practice that was established in 1954 by James E. Wasson, was called ABC
Hearing Aid Center and located in Allentown. In 1971 Mr. Wasson opened the Bethlehem Hearing Aid Center. Thomas R. Stephens was
hired in 1973 to manage that practice, and then in 1980 Mr. Stephens bought the Bethlehem practice. During the '80s, Mr.
Stephens purchased a number of practices in Eastern Pennsylvania, ending up with the five locations he presently owns. He
purchased four of them in Allentown alone, including the ABC Hearing Aid Center from Mr. Wasson. Finally in the year 2000 with all the locations having different names like Audio Associates, ABC Hearing, Bethlehem Hearing and Pope Hearing, the names were all combined under the banner of HearPA. With so many years in the practice and so many practices HearPA is now one of the largest practices in the country. That allows us huge quantity discounts from the manufacturers that we pass along to the patient. We offer excellent prices on quality hearing instruments. ![]() |
